The following information is summarised from www.DofE.org   Duke of Edinburgh Award Participants Guide   Award Timescales   BRONZE AWARD Volunteering  Skill  Physical  Expedition  3 months  3 months  3 months  Plan, prepare for and undertake both a Practice and Qualifying 2 day, 1 night purposeful venture then present a report on the expedition. plus a further 3 months in 1 section You need to be 14 to start your Bronze Award which takes at least 6 months to complete

SILVER AWARD  Volunteering  Skill  Physical  Expedition  6 months  one for 6 months and the other for 3 months  Plan, prepare for and undertake both a Practice and Qualifying 3 day, 2 night purposeful venture then present a report on the expedition. You need to be 15 to start your Silver Award which takes at least 6 months to complete

GOLD AWARD Volunteering Skill Physical Residential  Expedition 12  months one for 12 months and the other for 6 months 5 days and 4 nights away from home for a shared activity with people you’ve not met before e.g. cookery or painting course, outdoor leadership, conservation project, Tall Ships Plan, prepare for and undertake both a Practice and Qualifying 4 day, 3 night purposeful venture then present a report on the expedition You need to be 16 to start your Gold Award which takes at least 12 months to complete
